On Birds
The skies have eyes
The trees wings
The ground has feet
And
The water sings.
The vultures soar
Patiently.
The francolins course
Timidly.
The swans tread
Elegantly.
The world moves
Continuously:
The wind turns
The water flows
The land bellows
And the birds
They exist.
Elemental,
Ancient
Companionship:
When did it begin
How can it end.
Who has foretold
Who has predicted
And to what end?
